Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, it is not possible to use the Oracle client to connect to port 1521, as IvorySQL is build on PostgreSQL and use different front-end and back-end protocols from Oracle's. Therefore, native Oracle drivers cannot be directly used with IvorySQL.
The IvorySQL team is currently working on supporting drivers such as OCI, ODBC, and JDBC. The project is not yet open source at this time. Once the drivers are released, you will be able to seamlessly replace the Oracle Driver with the IvorySQL Driver on the application side without requiring any additional changes to the application.
