New submission: Tomorrow's Database, Today / 明日数据库,今日呈现

Yurii Rashkovskii
has submitted a new session!
Tomorrow's Database, Today / 明日数据库,今日呈现
Conservatism is highly valued in the database world. Whenever data is involved, the stakes are high – data inconsistency, unavailability, corruption, and loss are all devastating for business.
However, conservatism leads to stagnation. Unlike hardware, software visibly lags. So, how do we augment pragmatic conservatism with the need to catch up and make business solutions that propel us into the future?

Re: Request for Verification Letter of Invitation
by Cédric Villemain
Dear Grant and Fawei,
I thank you both, Grant and Fawei, very much more all the efforts
provided, I confess I didn't understood how challenging it can be, so
thank you even more knowing how time consuming it has been.
Andrea and I will be Data Bene ambassadors then!
And we will relay also inputs from Yasir to IvorySQL technical team.
Best regards,
Cédric

Dear Grant,
Thank you for your efforts and for keeping us informed.
While it’s unfortunate that the verification letter couldn’t be
obtained, I completely understand that this is due to circumstances
beyond your control. I truly appreciate the time and energy you and your
team invested in trying to make it happen.
Please don’t worry, I remain grateful for the opportunity and your
continued support.

Re: Request for Verification Letter of Invitation
by Grant Zhou
Dear Yasir and Cedric,
I regret to inform you that we were unable to obtain the verification letter despite our best efforts.
After multiple attempts and exploring various approaches with the relevant office, our requests for the verification letter have been declined. Unfortunately, visa requirements for Pakistani nationals have remained strictly regulated since 2020, which has impacted our ability to secure the necessary documentation.
We sincerely apologize for that and appreciate your understanding of these circumstances beyond our control.
Best regards,
Grant

Flight Itinerary
by Florents Tselai
Hello Grant,
I am excited to attend, along with Charis (she's registered as an attendee
too), the HOW conf. in Jinan!
Our flights
ATH -> PEK: CA864 (landing Jun25th)
PEK -> ATH: CA863 (leaving Jul 7th)
Can you please inform us of the lodging in Jinan, and assist us in booking
the high-speed trains back and forth between Jinan and Beijing?
Thank you very much in advance!
-
Cheers,
Flo

Thank you very much. I already booked a hotel for this night. The
tour you mention sounds really interesting, but I'm afraid I'll need
some time for catching up with work and relaxing a bit. We can plan to
take the train in the afternoon to go to Jinan.

Thank you!
According to the information below, I'd stay for the City tour of
Jinan. So my hotel needs would be for the days 26th-29th. On the 29th
I'd need to take the train back to Beijing, and from there to PKX
airport. My flight is around 2am on the 30th (on that night, but late)
and while I'd like to plan with enough time to make it comfortably, I
guess I should have time enough to participate in the city tour.

**I'm afraid I cannot stay for the 30th. But I hope we can plan some
meeting during the conference or on the 29th so we can discuss
collaborations between Highgo and OnGres.
