Re: Request for Community license: HOW2026

by Sessionize Support

Hi Grant! Again, events organized by companies do not qualify for the community license. In addition, the employees involved are carrying this out as part of their paid work. I am sorry, but our rules are clear and we adhere to them to remain consistent and fair to everyone, as well as to support a sustainable business. -- Domagoj Pavlesic Sessionize.com support(a)sessionize.com On Tue, 16 Dec at 6:54 AM , IvorySQL Conference <conference(a)ivorysql.org> wrote: Grant Zhou has submitted the community request from for HOW2026 event. However, it’s an open-source community event for the PostgreSQL and IvorySQL projects, and it’s a non-profit open-source promotion event. In the future, the event will be organized by the community itself, with sponsors from various companies. Re: Request for Community license: HOW2026

by Sessionize Support

Hi! From what I can see, this event is organized by a company Highgo. https://ivorysql.io/about/ We have a pretty clear policy about our community license, and events organized by companies cannot use it. With this license, we want to support community activities organized by volunteers and user groups. When a company does such activity, they're doing it for their own promotion (directly or indirectly), and ultimately for profit. Sorry. We had to draw a line somewhere - we have to pay bills and make a living. I hope you understand. -- Domagoj Pavlesic Sessionize.com support(a)sessionize.com On Fri, 12 Dec at 8:26 PM , IvorySQL Conference <conference(a)ivorysql.org> wrote: Pin Kai Huang has submitted the community request from for HOW2026 event.
